Organization, Relationships and Systems Coaching (ORSC™): the kaleidoscope of team coaching approaches

Andrea_Kuhn_Relationship_Skills

The methodology of Organisation, Relationship & Systems Coaching (ORSC™) creates a safe space for a system (group, team, or organisation) over an extended period (at least 6 months) where it can self-discover and evolve through my interventions. Think of it like a kaleidoscope – each intervention changes the overall picture, which is why ORSC™ incorporates a variety of approaches to work with a system over time.

A multidimensional approach

ORSC™ is based on a theoretical framework that draws from various approaches: general systems theory, mediation, process work, organisation development, appreciative inquiry, emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and co-active coaching. It's the diversity of these approaches that distinguishes this coaching methodology, enabling the group to examine and develop their relationships in the most nuanced ways.

I am the mirror of your team

My mission is to reflect the respective relationship system, so it becomes aware of itself in the present moment: What are its strengths, its potential, its obstacles? How are its relationships structured? What is necessary for the system to change? Systems that benefit from ORSC™ include leadership teams, project teams, multicultural teams, or even family systems collaborating within a company.

The five ORSC™ principles

1

Each relationship system has its own unique identity or “personality.” Sports teams or music groups are the most telling examples.

Each member of the relationship system (teams or partnerships) represents a voice of the system that must be heard. This doesn't mean everything suggested by each voice must be implemented, but listening to all voices provides the group with maximum information to find the best and most creative solution.

2

Relationship systems rely on roles for organisational purposes, fulfilling specific functions. However, the roles belong to the system and not the individuals forming the system. Even the role of the leader is a role of the system. Together, we look for ways for all roles in the group to contribute to solving a problem or role conflict so that the overall system can find a new balance.

3

Relationship systems are inherently intelligent, generative, and creative. What is emerging right now? What is our system trying to reveal through our collective intelligence?

4

Relationship systems are constantly changing. This won't change. What we can change is our attitude toward this change
